The Carver 355 Aft Cabin is an updated version of the 33/350 MY. An integral swim platform was added to the model with a molded fiberglass stair set. The interior floor plan was revised  and the fuel tank capacity increased for better range. Like all Carvers of this era the 355 is built on  a solid fiberglass hull with a modest deadrise and shallow keel for added stability. She is still a popular boat today due to her exanspive, wide open interior with the cruising amenities of a much larger boat. A dinette is forward in the salon adjacent to the galley which features a full sized fridge, three burner cooktop with oven, microwave and ample storage. Notably the forward double berth was expanded to comfortably fit two adults, a major improvement over the 33/350 MY. On the Aft deck is a wet bar with an Ice Maker and sink, a transom gate opens to a molded staircase to access the oversized platform. A hardtop is standard with plexiglass doors to access the bow and provide protection while cruising. The helm is laid out well with easy to understand controls and plenty of seating for a small crowd.
