1997 Maxum 3200 SCR

TOPSIDES
Maxum created a unique design in the 3200 SCR -- a cockpit with seating accommodations usually found in much larger cruisers, plus plenty of open floorspace, allowing ease of movement throughout.

The elevated helm seat is divided as a single captain's seat, with an adjacent double-wide, back-to-back seat. The back-tO-back seat can fold down to sunlounge position. In the aft area of the cockpit, port and starboard bench seats face each other, with storage bins built beneath the starboard seat. The aft-facing back-to-back seat completes a comfortable conversation area. There are three deck inserts for the cockpit table.

Other cockpit features include a wet bar w/ icemaker and storage, dual hinged engine hatches, ice chest and removable carpet.

The radar arch extends nearly to the transom, allowing for a straight drop aft curtain and enclosure, plus a tall, but stylish bimini -- providing excellent shelter and headroom under the canvas.

Swim platform access is through the centerline transom door. Foredeck access is via a walk-through windshield.

DOWN BELOW
Enter the cabin through a bi-fold door with sliding overhead hatchway, on the port side of the cockpit.

The galley is mid-ships, to port, with large refrigerator, ample countertop area, plenty of deep drawers and cabinets and a double sink (stainless steel). The galley floor is hardwood. Opposite the galley is a large booth-style dinette, with storage below and convertible to a double sleeper.

Aft of the salon, is a mid-cabin with enough headroom for adults to comfortably sit upright at the settee, or when converted to sleeping quarters, accommodates two adults in comfort. A large window with screen provides plenty of natural ventilation and light.

The master berth is fully forward -- a comfortably positioned double berth, with accordion door, cedar lined hanging locker and plenty of storage below.

The cabin interior is decored in neutral taupe & highlighted by white cabinet fronts, plushly upholstered headliner & soffits and softly lit by three translucent hatches overhead. This creates a modern look, but comfortable, functional -- and spacious!
