2010 brings a busy summer to schedule to Pier 33 and the St. Joseph area. There are a number of events throughout the area in which Pier 33 will be participating, some open to the public and some requiring reservations, intended for Pier 33 boaters and invited guests. August 7 - Club 33 Dinghy Poker Run. To register, CLICK HERE. Get your dinghies & squirt guns ready for Club 33's 2010 Dinghy Poker Run. We've extended our RSVP deadline to Thursday August 5. Your dock neighbors Bill & Laura Halamka (West 7), Steve & Kathy Hammond (South 61) or Rick & Judy Hacias (South 60) are putting together this on-water event that should be fun for all. Each participating boat will receive TWO Club 33 tee shirts courtesy of Pier 33, and there will be an array of valuable prizes for the winners. This year's Poker Run will be followed by cook-out at Pier 33's showroom, with all Pier 33 boaters invited to attend! August 8 - Pier 33 Trail Away 2010. For more info & to register, CLICK HERE. This has been on the to-do list for a few seasons now and this year it happens. Ludington State Park is known as "The Queen of The State Parks". This is a trailer-boater's heaven. We'll take along one or two or more Pier 33 boats and we invite all of our trailerable boaters to join us. Ludington State Park includes Hamlin Lake, a spectacular boating venue suitable for almost anything that floats - runabout, dinghy, wave runner, canoe, kayak or a simple inner tube. LSP is about 150 miles from Pier 33 - about 2 1/2 hours drive time, straight up US-31. The launch ramp is ideal for most boats up to about 24 feet. Pier 33 will provide a complimentary cook-out, ongoing throughout the afternoon, plus special gifts from Chaparral for all attending boats. Not to dampen the summertime mood, but advance planning for our winter storage season and next year's dockage is already underway. 2010/2011 dock and storage proposals will be mailed during the week of July 19 and deposits will be due by August 15^th. to secure guaranteed spots and our most favorable rates. Be on the lookout for an aggressive program that will allow you to save on your dock and storage fees by encouraging your boating friends to become members of the Pier 33 boating community. We enjoy having you here with us. August 19 thru 22 - Boat Show, Michigan City. This year's Michigan City In-Water Boat Show is a week earlier than usual. Pier 33 will present a display of new boats from Pursuit, Scout & Chaparral. Show dates are Thursday thru Sunday, August 19 thru 22. Boat show hours and additional information are available on-line: CLICK HERE. August 28 - First Tee Cup Golf Invitational. Pier 33 will be participating as a sponsor of the 2^nd. Annual Invitational First Tee Cup at The Golf Course At Harbor Shores, Saturday August 28^th. Harbor Shores is the area's newest luxury golf attraction and is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
